Receives and accurately processes surgical or diagnostic tissue specimens from various hospital departments and physician offices
Accurately prepares histologic slides from tissue sections for microscopic examination and diagnosis by Pathologist
High school diploma or equivalent
Histology Technician training at a certified training program/healthcare careers college or under the supervision of a Pathologist for 1-2 years
Current Histology Technician certification by a nationally recognized agency
